This past weekend in New York City was one for the books where fashion and hiphop are concern. It was All Star Weekend and The Qweens happen to catch one of the most exclusive events in Brooklyn. It was definitely an event to remember, I came upon a small crowd outside, it was wet, snow flurries, cameras flashing, and low behold who do I see amongst the crowd rap artist and recently married Memphis Bleek ! Now at that moment the only thing I could do was smile and start humming Bleek’s 2000 hit single “Is that Your Chick” to myself. Following that sighting I looked up and peeped the sign which read RocnSole and I was like yea I’m at the right location. I entered the sneaker boutique to the sounds of Bleek’s hit song on Jay’s verse being sprung by popular DJ Steph Floss, the store was crowded wall to wall and the cognac Dusse was the fragrance that graced the air.
The event was a celebration of the release of the O.G. Emory Jones (Roc Nation Apparel) and designer Kelton Crenshaw (PMK) New Era Collection. The collaboration consist of specially designed New Era fitted caps designed by them. It was a star studded event with appearances by people such as Meek Mill , Kevin Hart alongside his fiance, Uncle Murda , Lenny S. aka Kodaklens , Memphis Bleek , Dusse Ambassador Mr. Rugs, Mendeecee (Love and HipHop NY) and G.O.O.D. music own Pusha T. There was a host of socialites, bloggers, family, and friends also there. The event was held in Boreum Hill section of Brooklyn at RocnSole sneaker & clothing boutique which is operated by Jeff Harris, Lenny S, Tashawn Smith-Green, and Tyran “TYTY” Smith.
