A private memorial celebrating the life of Prince was held on Wednesday night at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. The memorial, which was organized by Prince’s ex-wives, Manuela Testolini and Mayte Garcia. PRINCE did not leave a will. Many are saying that the legendary ICON died of drug addiction, others say HIV/AIDS. Currently nobody knows for sure. We are 22 days in and still don’t have an answer.

Among those at the invite-only memorial were Spike Lee (who spilled the beans on Instagram by posting a picture of purple shoes and a purple beret); Larry King, Savion Glover, Nile Rodgers, Tavis Smiley, Mavis Staples, former fiancé Susannah Melvoin, one of his half-siblings, Omarr Baker, and many of his old friends and fellow musicians, such as Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, Matt Fink, Bobby Z and Marc Brown.

The plans on being part of the Spike Lee celebration of PRINCE!

Jesus Culture x Moral Revolution (Partnership)

We the Qweens are just becoming hip to these two movements which we found very interesting. The Qweens are believers of Christ outside of whatever we may report on our blog. Jesus Culture is a movement which spreads the teachings and love of Jesus Christ in services, concerts, conferences, and workshops. Moral Revolution is a team of people who are spreading the Christian morality of sexuality from a Biblical standpoint. Together Jesus Culture and Moral Revolution have partnered together to bring a different audience on both their behaves. You can find out more on Jesus Culture and Moral Revolution on

Hillsong Young/Free x LeCrae x This is Living

Hillsong Young and Free presents new music entitled This Is Living with featured gospel award winning rapper Lecrae. This is the newest addition and single from the famed gospel group Hillsong, with music geared toward the youth. The song This Is Living is based off the Biblical verse Saint Johns 10:10  – The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Virtue x You Are

It’s been a while! It’s been so long even I forgot how or when the fourth member of Virtue became no longer present. To be honest will have to do research to find out when and why she left. Anyhoot the Virtue girls are back and been in the studio heavy! They already have out a single titled “You Deserve” but yesterday they debuted “You Are” on Nashville radio. Their voices remind me of the 90s era groups like Total or Xscape, even though they are gospel. They were in constant circulation during the 90s too. The Virtue girls are back and seems this time they are back to make a statement in the gospel industry. The ladies came back to the industry signed with a new contract in January 2014 under Mixed Bag Entertainment headed by gospel rapper DA T.R.U.T.H. If you haven’t heard You Are yet hit up your online stream or check it out on YouTube. Stay tuned more to come on these ladies…

Mali was celebrity guest artist for the HomeComing weekend at Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia.  During his stay there we must say this is the most we’ve seen pictures of him at any kind of event. Mali received the key to the city as well.
