About UFO FEV:
Anthony Ortiz, better known by his rap name UFO FEV, is an upcoming refreshing artist born in East Harlem, New York City. Growing up in Thomas Jefferson Houses; Fev was inspired by his favourite rappers like Big Pun, Jay-Z and Beanie Siegel but his flow is still raw, original and captivating.

UFO FEV was surrounded by a household that was diverse on music; listening to hip-hop, latin, and freestyle. But the major influence in his life was his father, Tony from the internationally-known group TKA. One of his most memorable moments with his father was at WKTU’s Beatstock, TKA performed for a crowd of 55,000 at Giants Stadium. The wow factor was incredible for FEV and his sister, Brook Penning, UFO FEV was inspired. But growing up FEV was afraid to show his father his talents. When he was in the 11th grade his increasing buzz was all over the streets of East Harlem. Eventually catching his father’s attention, he was impressed by his son.

The name FEV was given to him by Black Rob, another well-known rapper. His exact words were,
“You’re hot like a fever,” hence the name FEV which stuck in the streets. UFO FEV’s distinct flow, clever self-written lyrics, Spanish background and obvious passion set him apart from any other rapper stemming from Harlem. His songs are based on stories and topics of everyday life from the good to the bad to the ugly; Goals, death, stress, happiness, dreams, love are just a few.

Who’s Next? #Hot97

Queens,New York will be in rare form this night!

Southside Jamaica, Queens very own @kyah_baby will take center stage for #Hot97 “Who’s Next” live at S. O. B. at 204 Varick stage. Also to take the stage the talented raptress @_conniediiamond hailing from the Boogie down Bronx. The Lil mama of Brooklyn miss Lola Brooke also to be in the building and new Comer Signature

Dej Loaf an AG? x Hot97

The follow up…. It is sad that in society we have to have a label, its even more contradicting when it comes from a person of a particular community (LGBT) that constantly hammers it down peoples throats to not label them or discriminate against them Im really appalled by the assumption which was made by this young lady on Hot97 radio station. However we really like their media hand Karlie Hustle who had nothing to do with this but remains an open minded person , whom is also apart of the LGBT community…

Hot97’s WHO’S GOT NEXT OCTOBER SHOWCASE

Hot97’s Who’s Got Next showcase the other night was nothing short of amazing! Kaliuchis, Beano, Sebastian Mikael, and headliner Mack Wilds had the place on smash!

Colombian bred Kaliuchis took to the stage first and opened up with her music. It was her first time performing in NY (how cool) ! Her voice was soft and timid but her looks and her dance moves were quite the opposite. It took the crowd a little longer to get on beat with her, but once that was accomplished we believe for a first timer she did well. On one of her songs a male lyricist easily excited the crowd and shook things up … Kali is a beauty, with a beautiful voice. She is a young Amy Winehouse mixed with Adele. I know she is going to go very far !

Philly’s finest was in the building and boy did he do a number on the crowd. Beano has a wonderful voice. This is my second time seeing him perform in person and again I was wowed! Beano had the ladies in the crowd going bananas with his rendition of Justin Timerblake’s “Mirrors” The energy his band and him had was fresh and fun. Beano was a joy to listen to and see again. I believe he set the bar for the nights talent and the next performer up did not let us down.

When host Rosenberg came back on stage the song “My NIgga” was fading out. “Every time this song comes on I can’t sing it” he joked and laughed with us before introducing Sebastian Mikael. Rosenberg also bragged how Sebastian had stopped by Hot97 and that his performance had left them on the floor, going crazy on how talented this rising artist IS. Sebastian serenaded the ladies. He took his time to reach levels with in his set. I loved how he slowed things down, sat down and played his guitar. One of my favorite songs is his smash single featuring Wale “Happy Hour” which he performed and the crowd sang along word for word! He is soon to be a R&B great.

Mack Wilds! Mack Wilds! … SOLD OUT SHOW! It was his bands first time performing together #TheComeup and they ripped the stage! Good music from start to finish. Mack Wilds performed “Ducksauce” & “Own It” just to name a few. Mack shouted out the producers he got a chance to work with. He said that they were idyllic to him and that it was amazing he was able to work with them. The Wu Tangs own Raekwon came to the stage and spoke highly of Mack. Mack had the ladies going crazy. He held a girls hand while performing she nearly fainted. The real icing on the cake was when a female fan threw her panties on stage. “I cant believe somebody really threw some panties” Mack then picked the panties up and placed them around the mike and when he was finished he placed them in his back pocket … OH MY!!!

THE QWEENS will continue to follow Mack Wilds he’s talented, handsome and super sweet. We even got a chance to meet momma Mack. We laughed as she seriously wanted to know who threw panties at her son, it was hysterical! tune into HOT97FM FOR NEW MUSIC, ARTIST UPDATES, AND FUTURE SHOWCASES!!!
